
Sumeet Parekh
Managing Partner
Mr. Parekh brings over 15 years of diverse real estate experience to HP Investors, including institutional private equity, real estate investment banking, and as a direct investor. He manages the day to day operations of the firm, as well as deal sourcing, asset management and fundraising.
Prior to founding HP Investors, Mr. Parekh acquired, structured, and managed over $3B in real estate investments in New York City for The Carlyle Group, one of the largest private equity real estate investors in the world. His projects at Carlyle included helping acquire and manage the successful development of multiple large-scale residential condominium projects as well as other office and retail investments.
In addition to his experience at Carlyle, Mr. Parekh has held positions as a real estate investment banking associate at Merrill Lynch and as a corporate strategy consultant at Deloitte.
Mr. Parekh holds an MBA from the Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania, and a BS from the Marshall School at the University of Southern California.

Harki Parekh
Partner
Mr. Parekh has over 35 years of real estate experience as a broker, principal investor, and operator in Southern California. He provides firm oversight, investment committee guidance, fundraising, and deal sourcing.
Mr. Parekh’s experience includes co-founding firm BRE Brokerage Commercial (now part of DTZ), leading his own development firm, Cal-Diego builders, and most recently, as a direct investor/operator at HP Enterprises.
Mr. Parekh’s investment background reflects his entrepreneurial mindset, spanning across multiple asset-classes and project lifecycle phases. His prior investments include development, value-add, and core-projects in the multi-family, retail, and hospitality sectors.
Mr. Parekh holds an MBA from Southern Methodist University, and a B.Com from University of Bombay.

Isaac Abid
Partner
Mr. Abid has over 15 years of real estate acquisitions and asset management experience, and helps oversee and manage deal sourcing, asset management, and day to day operations for the firm’s Northern California office.
Prior to joining HP Investors, Mr. Abid helped acquire, structure, and manage over $2B in West Coast real estate assets for AIG Global Real Estate in San Francisco. In this role, Mr. Abid helped analyze, structure, and manage investments across the project lifecycle, including entitlement, ground-up development, asset repositioning, and lease-up. He has direct experience in the office, retail, for-sale residential, and multifamily sectors.
Mr. Abid has also served as private equity associate at The LeFrak Organization, a New York based developer, and as a corporate strategy consultant at Deloitte.
Mr. Abid holds an MBA and MS in Urban Planning from Columbia University, and a BA from UCLA.

Shannon Ching
Partner
Mr. Ching has over 24 years of real estate experience, including investment sales, financings, loan sales and corporate advisories across a variety of product types – retail, office, hotel, multifamily and industrial – throughout the country. Joining HP Investors in 2021, Mr. Ching oversees the firm’s Los Angeles acquisition efforts.
Prior to joining HP Investors, Mr. Ching was a Director at Eastdil Secured, a leading real estate investment banking firm, for over 23 years. From 1997 to 2008, Mr. Ching worked in their Los Angeles, California and Dallas, Texas offices. In 2008, Mr. Ching transferred to Eastdil Secured’s New York office, where he oversaw all their retail investment sales and advisory efforts.
Mr. Ching holds a BA in Economics from the University of California at Davis.

Jason Hotze
Partner
Mr. Hotze is responsible for all aspects of the firm’s financial management, including internal accounting, reporting, and lender relationships. Mr. Hotze has over 15 years of real estate accounting experience across various accounting and finance disciplines.
Prior to joining HP Investors, Mr. Hotze worked as an Assistant Controller at BioMed Realty Trust, a $5 billion dollar REIT with over 16 million square feet of real estate. In this role, Mr. Hotze managed an accounting team that was responsible for over 3 million square feet of lab/office space.
Mr. Hotze holds a BS in Accounting from Seattle University and is a Certified Public Accountant.

James Bolt
Senior Vice President
Mr. Bolt is head of asset management and is responsible for all leasing transactions, pre-development and construction activities. Mr. Bolt has over twenty years of experience in institutional commercial real estate asset management.
Prior to joining HP Investors, Mr. Bolt worked with Lexington Realty Trust, a publicly traded real estate investment trust, and Treeview Realty Advisors, a private asset management and direct investment syndicate company.
Mr. Bolt holds a BS in Economics from Hope College.

Baabak Barman
Senior Vice President
Mr. Barman is based in the firm’s San Diego office. His primary responsibilities include acquisitions, portfolio management and strategic firm initiatives.
Prior to joining HP Investors, Mr. Barman worked with MIT Investment Management Company (MITIMCo), an investment management firm which invests exclusively on behalf of MIT. At MITIMCo, Mr. Barman focused on real estate investments across all property types.
Mr. Barman began his real estate career as an Acquisitions Associate at JPI, a multifamily real estate development and investment firm. He has a BA in Applied Math from UC Berkeley and an MS in Real Estate Development from MIT.

Jacqueline Salazar
VP of Property Management
Ms. Salazar has over 30 years of experience with all aspects of property management on diverse portfolios comprising of retail, office, industrial & multi-family in Southern California. She oversees the day to day property management operations by providing team leadership and implementing proficient procedures to maximize property value.
Jacqueline carries a plethora of expertise & professionalism with various national real estate firms such as, Red Tail Acquisitions, RREEF Funds, Brixmor, and CBRE; where she has been successful in analyzing market trends and capitalizing on opportunities to improve NOI and maximizing property value and/or return on investments.
Ms. Salazar holds a BS in Business Management | Accredited Resident Manager (ARM) Certified
