SAN DIEGO, CA – February 5, 2018 – HP Investors LLC (“HPI”) announced today that it had acquired 1655 India Street a 5,000 square-foot restaurant and bar located in the heart of the Little Italy neighborhood of Downtown San Diego (“the Property”).
The Property was previously owned by the same family trust for many years and has been occupied by the popular Davanti Enoteca restaurant for the past 8 years. The restaurant is located on the bustling east side of India Street and boasts a large outdoor dining terrace at the rear of the Property. HPI closed on the transaction on January 26, 2018 and plans to hold the property as Little Italy and Downtown San Diego’s waterfront continue to flourish.
“The property benefits from its outstanding location, just off the corner of India and Date Streets. The rapid development of residential buildings and the opening of Piazza della Famiglia means that the Property will be at the heart of Little Italy for years to come,” said Sumeet Parekh, Managing Partner of HPI.
The Property represents HPI’s first investment in the Little Italy neighborhood but its 23rd building in Downtown San Diego.
Brian Jinings, President of Venture Commercial brokered the off market transaction and will continue to handle any leasing of the property.
